Default Pedal/fork too loose after clutch replacement?

88 240 m47 5 speed, flywheel resurfaced, new Fenco clutch kit.. I know there should be a little play usually, but the pedal is sitting like half way to the floor and there is not much room for the fork to fully disengage the clutch. I didn't think the fork looked bent but I am not sure now. Thanks for any input.

Did you get the cable adjusted correctly?

It seems like the fork may not be seated correctly at the inner end. Is that possible?

Yes it could be possible but I would think the clutch would not work if it was not seated on the throw out bearing.
