I am a new owner to a 1994 960 and have already had my first problem, It won't start. I know that I'm getting spark and I know that I am getting gas. The trouble is I think I'm getting to much gas, after replacing the blackend plugs I unfloded the engine by turning the engine over with the plugs removed and the feul pump fuses removed. She almost started, but i think the engine was flooded again because the new plugs were covered in gas but it was dark like oil.

If anyone knows what's wrong with my car or has had the same issues i would appreciate the help, also if anyone knows where on the web I can find an engine breakdown diagram for this car It would be extreamly useful thanks.

You might also have a blown headgasket or a burnt Valve.

 

A burnt Valve gasket, I have done some research and was guessing it was either a Map sensor or EGR problem, maybe a faulty feul pressure regulator. A valve cover is much easier to replace is it not?

 

Valve cover is much different than the Headgasket.

There is also a way to test and see if the Headgasket is bad.

You will have to buy the kit or take it to someone and have them check it out.
