Windshield Wiper Switch

Windshield Wiper Switch
Hi,
My wiper switch is just terrible at this point. You literally have to hold it in the correct position to get the wipers moving and good luck finding this correct position. I guess that the contacts on the switch need cleaning. I was wondering if the steering wheel need to come off in order to get to the switch? Can the contacts be cleaned or do I need to replace the switch? Can someone please give instructions on how to remove the switch?
Thank you,
Steven

Well, the st. wheel has to come off to get to the switch. Then a replacement is your best bet.
These instructions are for a 960 up to 1995, I haven't done one newer than that: Take off the air bag (two torx screws in the back), disconnect the battery first, wait a few minutes before the bag removal. Secure the clock spring so it doesn't unwind. Pull off the steering wheel but mark its position so it goes back centered and not crooked. Remove the switch, look at it, then decide. A used switch from a junkyard should be cheap, or try ebay.

I was wondering if anyone has the wiring diagram for that switch?
As always Thanks.
