1993 Volvo 850 GLT No Start
I bought a 1993 Volvo 850 GLT sight unseen off Craigslist for $400. The owner told me that he was driving the car one day and it just died and wouldn't start back up. It didn't splutter or anything like that, it just stopped So, he decided to change the fuel pump, filter, and injectors. However, that didn't work. When I got my hands on it, I checked the fuel and fuel lines, all the way up to the injectors and they were all good. The injectors were spraying like they should. I checked for codes and I got codes for the Camshaft and Crankshaft Position Sensors, so I replaced them and that didn't work. I checked for vacuum leaks and there weren't any. I checked the spark and that was good. I cleaned the Mass Air Flow Sensor, and that didn't work. I checked the compression and it was great on all 5 cylinders. I thought the timing was off so I checked that too and it was also good. All of the wiring in the car is good. The car will crank, but it won't start. Now I need some help on what could possibly be wrong.

did you do the compression test before or after you did the fuel system? you may have the "lawn mower effect" where you can try dropping some oil in each cylinder to help the rings build compression. If as you say you have fuel pressure to the injectors and spark, then you should get something. Can you probe to see if the signal is getting to the injectors to fire? (if not, check the fuel injector relay by the radiator/cowling). Have you measured the fuel pressure at the rail? A bad fuel pressure regulator can cause a no start...
