...dried out but still "chugging"...
I have a 94 850 (non-turbo) that I bought about 6 months ago. It has 114k miles on it, and a few days ago, (as I have previously posted about), I cleaned under the good really good, and got it really wet. It had ran perfectly before that day, and now, especially from a stop, accelerating makes the car "chug", if you don't just go really lightly on the accelerator and let it build up speed. Per your recommendation, I pulled the plug wires, and sure enough, found that plug 2 and 3 were a little wet. I dried them really well, and though it is better, still have the "chugging". I have decided that since the plugs look a little "burned" (the previous owner had put Champion plugs in it...eeeeeks!!!), that I am going to go ahead and change the plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor. This brings me to my 2 questions......do you know of anything I am "missing" that I also need to check regarding the "chugging" problem, and also....I thought I would go back with genuine Volvo parts, unless you recommend a better solution. Thanks a bunch!!!! We have 4 of these cars, and you guys are real lifesavers to me!!
