RE: front speakers just stopped working???
Do you mean the dash speakers or the door speakers?
If it is the dash speakers - since we are all guessing - I will place my bet that you hit a bump and the magnets fell off.
This is what they look like after the magnets and their greenie glue fails:

RE: front speakers just stopped working???
If it was one (or even two) speakers I would agree with the magnets falling off (mine did). However, since you said it is all the front speakers, and the wires and connections seem ok, I would lean toward a bad component in the radio itself.
Follow Tech and JPN's advice and see what that does. HOw do the rear speakers work??

RE: front speakers just stopped working???
If the circuit controlling the dash speaker output failed, it's beyond repair unless you're an electronic wiz and can trouble-shoot the circuit (a crack in the solder, a failed electrolytic capacitor ora transistor is an easy component to spot & replace if you can de-solder & solder, though).
Followeveryone's advice, and if it doesn't do, take the front panel off of the radio unit and spray contact cleaner into the volume/fade control ***** and turn them several times. Also spray the cleaner in all connections on the back of the radio. If this doesn't do, find a used unit at a yard and play with the one you have now.

Help
All speakers were working fine then one day the front ones started going on and off then they just stopped all for speakers in the front have no sound the speakers themselves still work and when I put the wires together I hear static but no music any suggestions? Tips ? What could possibly be wrong it's a 2003 Volvo s80

things that could be wrong include a) switch selections - move the balance and fader around, change your music source (ie AM/FM/CD), head unit - does it light up, if not check fuses, amp - check fuses, wiring - do you have a spare speaker to plug one of the wires into? check all connections/wiggle wires to see if anything comes to life. Not sure if your year still has the "double din" head unit but if it does, it slides out by popping out the two vertical bars on the edge of the face, then the unit slides straight out. If you have sound in the rear but not either of the fronts, then I'd suspect an issue with the head unit or the amp.
