I clean mine with the Lexor leather cleaner. I use neatsfoot oil to condition them.

I use Lexol products. Only use stuff that says it's for leather only. Not leater or vinyl or plastic, etc.

Good stuff guys.

As I was shopping for my S60R over the course of a couple years, I noticed that these seats will sure show the wear.

I was lucky and my recently acquired '07 has such low miles that the seats still look very close to new. I'd love to keep them that way.

I've never owned leather though so I have no idea how to care for it. How often do I clean? Condition? What's the time needed? How do I avoid sitting in oil when I drive it then? What kind of cloth should I use? Everyone has an opinion on this I'm sure, so I'd love to hear 'em.

Thanks guys.

I've used Zymöl Cleaner and Zymöl Conditioner with good results. If you really want to treat it I recommend the two stage Leatherique system. The coating applied to the seat is probably worn off enough by now to be a good candidate for Leatherique. It takes time and elbow grease but you won't be disappointed with how darn soft the leather is afterwards.

That Leatherique stuff looks great. My seats are not ripped, but in a couple of spots the black has worn off to expose the lighter material underneath. Anyone have any suggestions on a method to touch up the black prior to treating with something like the Leatherique? Is black shoe polish a crazy idea? Dave

Leather can easily outlast the car. I just use Lexol monthly and have never had any problems. If you did it every other week would likely be best. I apply it like a hand lotion, put it in my hand and rub it into the seat surface and move on. Never enough on the seat to worry about sitting on it and messing up my clothes.
