Volvo 850 Made from 1993 to 1997, this Volvo line was available in both a wagon and a sedan, both with were graced with several trim levels.

P1618 Anyone else ever get this?

Default P1618 Anyone else ever get this?

I also have had the P0172 intermittently.

I cant find any information on the P1618.

p1618 is usually a communication error code between the ecu / tcu and trans most of the time a bad connection

Some of the times it has to do with the abs module but Its hard to tell unless you have a tester abs module. it could be anything from the pnp wiring to a corroded pin on the ecu or abs module

Your two codes arent connected.. The p0172 has to do with a O2 sensor, which most likely need cleaning or replacement.

Have you tried to clear the code and see if it comes back?

Cleared both saturday morning. None so far. I have cleared the P0172 in the past but it keeps coming back after a little while. I need to replace my valve stem seals so so my 02 sensor is probably not in the best shape because of that.
