Rear View Mirror stuck?

Default Rear View Mirror stuck?
I just purchased a 96' 850 and have not been able to get the rear view mirror to move (except for the day/night lever). I do not want to force it but am wondering is there something I am overlooking here, or is this just an issue 850's have.

It is seized. Sometimes they will come loose and sometimes they will break off.
