Running E85 in an 850GLT Turbo... can it be done?

Running E85 in an 850GLT Turbo... can it be done?
With the current surge in rising gas prices, I'm starting to look for other options for our Volvo. I happen to live in a town with 2 stations that sell E85.
I'm sure our Volvo would run better on E85, due to the higher octane rating, andI'm not worried about the decreased fuel economy;it will balance out with the reduction in price for E85. What I'm wondering, since I really don't know much about Volvo's, is if the stock fuel system can handle E85?
In my limited research so far, I've readthat running E85 in non-Flexfuel vehicles (those made before E85 was introduced) will basically eat away at stock rubber fuel lines, etc. Running it in non-flexfuel Chryslers voids the warranty. In order to run E85, itwould require chaning all the fuel lines, seals, etc. Basically updating the fueling system to a Flexfuel capable one.Is that true? I'd hate to try it and find out the hard way. Has anyone else considered this, or is anyone currently running E85 in an 850, or any other Volvo for that matter?
as always, thanks for the input!

I lived 4 years in Brasil where standard gasoline has 24% methanol. I remember having heard several times stories of cars that were imported directly to Brasil by individual owners without engine modifications. After some time the methanol rusted important engine parts (donĀ“t know exactly which) and rubber parts had problemstoo.

in Brasil shops sell conversion kits from gasoline to flexfuel (200 USD). I had one installed in my 850 Turbo wagon. Runs great. Concerns about system (fuel lines, seals and the like) not really a problem. What I found a pb is that the fuel level sending unit doesnt work properly, leavinf you without fuel level and as part of the system, no onboard computer reliability. Ah! If if gets too cold, you will have trouble cranking engine in the morning. On the other hand, once ypou install the kid you can run a preselecte mix of 50/50 or higher proportion of etanol. Just select E for higher than 50%. Cars in Brasil use etanol since early eighties.

Here a link to one of several Flex Fuel systems available. If you know a little spanish, it will not be a problem to understand portuguese. all figures ($) relate to local currency. Here is metric, so it is km/litre of fuel. http://www.fullflex.com.br/fullflex/...FRyOFQodxz4wtw.
Feel free to ask any questions. good luck;

Bigger injectors, pump...maybe larger lines and fuel filter possibly...and an ecu retune. That's as far as I heard.
just bigger injectors and pump, depends if yourfuel rail and return can flow enought too i think , i was seriously considering it but theres really now advantage other then its only 15% taliban fuel and higher octane.
Bigger pump (alcohol compatible), Larger injectors and a re-tune.
You need a re-tune due to the stioch ratio of E-85 (about 10:1) and the changes in ignition needed to take advantage of the different burn rate.
If you just throw a bigger pump and injectors at it you will get no where. With the Fords the line pressure (FP duty cycle) is controlled by the ECU. The larger pump will still only put out the factory set psi, and the injector flow (duty cycle) will remain the same (as per factory spec, controled by O2 signal and MAS voltage, secondary sensors are CHT, knock sensor and VSS).
I'd say it would be a good bet to replace the upstream O2 with a wide band one. Something with an analog output. I know that Innovative has lambda files for Ethanol.
