SRS Light Reset

SRS Light Reset
When I had my evaporator replaced the mechanic also put in the Control Reel that he saw was bad. He said the only way to get the SRS light reset is to take it to the dealer, and the cost is around $110. Is that the only way on a 1997 850 R? I'm pretty sure I read that that is the case.

RE: SRS Light Reset
It's done and I have the car back. I paid the $110 to get the light reset. That sucks! Going into the 90's today, so good day to get the R back with the A/C working. Dropped over $1600 into that car with the evaporator, Contact Reel and resetting of the SRS light. Now I need to figure out the problem with running rough and get one new wheel. I have one bent Volan that makes it run pretty rough. It also has Yokohama tires that I hear aren't that great either, but they still have quite a bit of tread.

RE: SRS Light Reset
Glad it is going better now.
I know how you feel about the running issue.
BTW I feel the Pain on the running problem.
I am fighting one on my car as well for the last Month. It will totally shut off while driving.
Sometimes it will do it one day 4 times a day and others it is good for a week then cycle all over again.
Everytime I have tools hooked up to test it all works fine.
Take them off and it acts up again.
