I want to replace the dome lights with LED or SMD's. Anyone know the bulb type ?

You guys are going to love this... Pull down the mounting base and remove the lights. Look familiar? They are essentially 194's but there's a strange low-profile volvo "crazy-base". Turns out that you CAN remove the glass from these bases and install ebay/superbrightled/amazon/etc LEDs in any color you want because these are manufactured by pushing wires thru a plastic base that replaces the glass mount of the 194's. So you then have to unbend the little wires carefully and pull of that plastic base and put it onto the "crazy-base". The BUT part is that the LED's you buy are almost always, well... not round. So then you will have to clearance the metal reflector with a dremel or tiny files or something. In the end I wish I had opted for the pricier, brighter, thermally limited lights. Also, I went with red all around and I don't recommend those for the map lights, just go with whatever version of white you like. Thirdly, I think the flat-panel SMD version would throw more light in the correct direction. Try to find a size that looks right (or make your own) and ditch the reflectors entirely.

Just took the plunge and bought a mint 2007 c30 2.4 L, and a few question if I may:
1. Any way to replace the non Bluetooth radio with one equipped w BT or an aux input ?
2. Dome lights dont work, replaced burnt bulbs, still no go. Ideas?
3. Map lights. DO work, but onlybwhrn engine is running. Cute...
4. Lower front grille wide open to road debris, already pockmarked lower part of radiator / AC condenser. Any thoughts on appropriate sized mesh to put in that opening?
