Default 2000 c70 dash swap

I have a c70 coupe and the dash is sqweaky mess. Plastic broken everywhere.

I took the top pad off and fixed what I could. It was quiet for a little bit but hello potholes and a lowered car...

I got a nice dash with only one crack in it from a 1999 V70 and I like the black dash better anyway. Cleaning it I cracked 3 more times. This POS is gonna break just like all of them.

I'm looking at reinforcing it with pieces of ABS and glue plus industrial heat hot glue before I put it in. The old dash under part or sub assembly broke into about 20 pieces and part is still in the car.

Only one tab broken that hold it to the firewall but reinforcing those too. I really don't wanna do this again.

ABS glue on both sides has really firmed up the bits that were cracking.

this is gonna work well... I will post some pics...

Ok it goes back in tomorrow. The old ones out. It split in half it was so cracked. All four plastic mounting points stayed stuck to the firewall when the rest of the lower dash came out.

Doing the interior swap too. Found some lovely black interior bits...

Will you be posting pictures eventually?

I have to do the same thing with my C70 but not until I replace the struts and shocks.

Look forward to hearing more about your progress!

sorry been busy at work and just have it mostly apart.

I am doing the interior all to black as well. Under carpet matts are soaked in coffee soda antifreeze mix. so I guess they are coming out to.

roberts video on how to do the dash is great...

these are the 1999 seats I'm selling. I'm putting the new leather skins on the 2000 beige seats. They look great... just want them perfect.

Redoing the electrical connections still got no dash lights or Climate control. Hmm sumthin not plugged in...

Looking at wiring the 2000 and 1999 dash looks the same. Just one connector different on the far right for sunroof but both had 4 wires.

Did get to drive it tonite. Been missing the stick.

That looks awesome. I'd like to do mine in black eventually too, but I have that weird dash speaker - might pose a problem, haha.

dash speaker is a little weird. My old 2000 coupe had it this new coupe does not but the stereo was better with the center channel and the dolby surround. I want to add the sub woofers.

Anyway looking at wiring diagrams to see why no lights on dash and no climate control power....
