Default Alarm and assembly lock issues

So I combed the forums to determine what might be causing my issue with my 1999 v70. Like other posters I cannot move the key to I, II or III. I tried the graphite powder, wd-40 and the 'wiggly-jiggly' to try to get the key to turn. I am ok with having to replace the lock assembly and might even try it myself.

The one thing that I wanted to try was to see if the alarm is somehow causing it to lock...if that is even possible. If so, is there a way to disable the alarm to see. I don't really care if the alarm works.

Is disabling the alarm as simple as pulling a fuse or pulling a wire? Is that even really worth it to see if that is the issue with the lock?

Thanks all for your help, in advance!
