Hello, so this is a tuff one. I have this weird whistle type riddle noise coming from the passanger side of the engine . I tried to troubleshoot this and find the exact location. I think it's coming from the came gear area. Under the plastic shroud. The noise is only present at about 1200rpm till about 1500rpm then it disappears . But every time the car hits thoese rpm range it's is back. Super annoying and nothing makes it go away. Any suggestions?

did you try taking off the upper timing belt cover to see if it made the noise more pronounced?

Yes, I removed the top cover and it sounds like it's coming from the rear cam gear, I removed the intake cover also and noticed a large amount of oil on the top of the motor to the passanger side . I checked the one PVC tube for cracks but it looks to be in good shape.

Did you pull the oil dip stick to see if the noise went away? That is the classic test for a clogged PCV system.

Yes, here's the deal . The car only makes the noise when you hit 1200rpm. Then stops at 15-1600 rpm . The noise sounds like a Bering issue . Even if the dip stick is pulled or not the noise is still there, but when I pull the dipstick I do notice the car idles a lot better, when I push it back in it ideals rough when it comes back under pressure, this car has been plagued with oil issues sense we bought it. Sometimes I have checked the oil dipstick and the thing was bone dry. With no warning light! What's up with that! also. I did the glove test over the oil fill hole and it sucks it in . I will try to take a video of the issue today so I can show u.
