Default 2000/06 S40 - Missing vacuum hose? P0017, P30(1-4)(pictures)

My 2000 Volvo S40 1.9T is showing the following error codes:

P0017 Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 1 Sensor B)
P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected
P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected
P0303 Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected
P0304 Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected

When I start the car and the engine is cold it stutters (all cylinders misfire) and the check engine light comes on. If I reset the CEL and start the engine when it is warm the CEL doesn't come on. The cylinders misfire only when the engine is cold.

I've recently changed the oil and filter, spark plugs and crankshaft position sensor in the hopes of clearing the P0017 code but no luck.

I was checking to see if perhaps some of the vacuum hoses are loose or broken when I found this:

The picture shows the area behind the engine right in front of the firewall.
I tried to find a loose hose dangling somewhere and I found a 90 degree piece of hose coming out from the firewall with Flexo MR114458 written on it:

The Flexo hose was angled downwards and when I rotated it came off very esily. I'm wondering if the Flexo hose should be connected to the brass hose barb that is attached to the vacuum hose. One end of the vacuum hose is attached to the engine near the bottom of the auxiliary timing belt and the other end goes into the engine right where the brass hose barb is. The open brass connector acts like a T for the vacuum hose.

Should I just try to plug the open brass connector and see if the cylinders stop misfiring or should I attempt to connect it to the flexo hose that went into the firewall?

I've been struggling with those error codes for about a month now. Any help is greatly appreciated.

1.The nipple you pointed to is a coolant drain nipple.
2.I think the hose you pulled off is the A/C drain hose.

Check the hose to the fuel pressure regulator If the regulator is bad it will drain all the fuel pressure into the intake and cause misfire on start up.

Or the injectors are leaking.

I looked at the fuel pressure regulator hoses and one of them has little cracks in it, but they seem to be only on the surface:

Also would there be any visual indication of leaking fuel injectors?

Only if you removed the fuel rail.
Did you remove the line from the regulator and see if it is leaking?
