2000 S40 1.9T Passenger Door Lock
Hello
I have a 2000 Volvo S40 1.9T. The door lock on the passenger's side gets stuck halfway and doesn't open when I unlock it indirectly - that is, when I use the dash lock buttons or the driver's door key to unlock it. It works if I manually pull it, but I don't like having to keep my passenger waiting while I get in my seat and reach over.
I suspect this is just a lubrication or poor electrical contact problem, so I think I can fix it myself. I am just wondering if it's easy to access the lock mechanism on that door. Should I simply pull the interior panel away to access the lock mechanism or is there more to it?
Thanks.
