2004.5 S40 Immobilizer Issue
Hello everyone,
My 2004.5 Volvo S40 2.4I won't start. When I try and start it, it seems that the battery is pretty weak even though the radio/windows/AC all work. I received the messages "engine system service required; anti-skid temporarily disabled; Immobilizer. Check manual" in that succession when I try and start the vehicle.
I've tried both of my key fobs and locking/unlocking the doors 5x to no avail. As far as drivability is concerned, I've noticed very light stalling (though this could just be exaggerated gear shifts) when accelerating from a stop. I purchased the vehicle less than two months ago and it is still under warranty for another two weeks. The car had a clean 1-owner carfax with 58,912 miles on it.
There have been no significant issues since I've purchased the car. I had purchased a secondary key fob/valet more than two weeks ago, with no issues occurring thus far.
Does anyone have any insight or experience with anything described above?
Thank you for your time
-Joe
