Default 2006 volvo s40 t5 road noise

I've been hearing a noise that seems to be coming from the front end of my car but the noise clears out when I turn right. I replaced both bearings, cv shaft, struts and strut mouts and the noise is still there. Any ideas.

Have you tried a front to rear tire rotation to see if the noise changes? Is it a whine or a clunk type noise (clunks could be sway bar end links or a control arm). Other than that, I'd be looking at various mounts (motor, trans, steering rack etc). Also have you checked the brakes (can't say why this would vary with turns - that points me to the parts you've replaced... hate to think you got a bad part)

I rotated tires and ended up buying new ones and that didn't fix it. I have tinkered with the breaks yet. And the best way to description the sound is like a helicopter and the faster I go it whines higher. I havent notice any abnormal tire wear on either set of tires either.

curious if the noise could actually be a rear wheel bearing vs front? As a quick check you could jack up the rear wheels and hand spin to see if you can hear/feel and difference left to right. I've been fooled a few times thinking noises were front or rear - but that could just be me :-)

I've been reading a couple articles saying that is a possibility I'm going to try that tonight.

Other things in the right front area: Power steering pump, main motor mount, two V belts. Is this noise so bad you spent a bunch of money trying to fix it?
