Power problems
My daughter called tonight and said she was broke down. She says she was driving down the highway and her SRS light came on, shortly after that she says the car started to decelerate. She pulled off to a parking lot, turned the car off and said she couldn't start it again. I went to the car and sure enough it wouldn't start but the battery was dead - I jumped it and it started perfectly without the SRS light coming on. I drove her vehicle to her house and it repeated what she described - the SRS light came on followed by a deceleration from 50 mph to 40 mph over a 5 minute period while it sputtered along. I also noticed the temperature and fuel gauges seemed to be jumping aroundafter the SRS light came on too.
Over the past 4 months we have put a new battery, alternator and alternator belt in the vehicle. Any advice on what I could look for would be appreciated.

RE: Power problems
the srs is the air bag system and when not enough power is present it will come on, having replaced the majority of the electrical system i would try and have it tested... if it will start again try and get it to a shop and they should be able to give some sort of idea as to what it could be...[sm=signs003.gif]
