Yup. In Tennessee we have a game that we playwith some of roads down here--The guy or gal that gets to work without hitting a pothole wins a prize. Our State flower is an orange road repair barrel. Lol. BJ

Agree to TECH.Check the sway bar or known as stabililzers. There should be 2 clips/clamps which holds the bar in center position.Could be the clips/clamps on the passenger side crack or broken which in turn unable to hold the sway bar.So when u hit on rough road the bar moves and could be hitting the structures around it as it is very close, causing the noise.Or try to steer full left and right in stationary position you might hear some noise.Look carefully on the condition of the clips.
Cos it happened to my car.The sway bar clips/clamps on the passenger side had obvious crack.Got it replaced, after sometime seems like the clips/clamps unable to hold the bar in position.I can hear light noises now when i steer the car.

OMG another problem for me.

I had a problem similar to this, it turned out to be the driver shaft.

I think it is sway bar bushing, I am going to get them replaced hopefully this weekend. You cant see them without taking some stuff apart. I hope this is the problem. the vertical tile to the wheel is loose and moves a bit. I was only going to do the one but I think I might just do both and then should not have problem later.

Yes do both. The sway bar has to come off to get to them anyway.
They are a pain in the A** to replace. The front Subframe has to be dropped to get to them.

No im not kidding. If you look under the car. The bar that runs from front to back will have to come off.(The one with the engine mounts. The where the lower control arm bolts look up you will see screws from the subframe to the body. They have to come loose but not out. The steering rack needs to be removed from the subframe and left hanging and supported. Then the sway bar can be gotten to.
