s40 1996 2.0 low power and uses alot of fuel
i have a problem with my 1996 Volvo s40 1996 2.0
with engine code B4204S 2.0 non turbo 140hp?
i have most of the time poor acceleration, but somtimes it's quite good.
it have in the last weeks started to getting worse on the fuel consumption, i drowe from Bergen to Oslo about 450km and used nearly 60 Litre of petrol, this is much worse than ever before.
alos lately it started jerking when i accelerate when it's raining or when it's humid air, and about 5-15 degreds C
i have shanged all vacum lines, filters, oil. spark plugs, and cleaned all sensors, and changed catalytic converter.
i found a crack in one of the coils, and tried to fix this with Sugru, no signs of arching near coil.
im a student, so can't afford to change too many uneccesary parts.
anyone have any idea or tips what this might be?
sorry for my english.

Did you check your IAT sensor (inlet air temp') .
If that is malfunctioning it will affect the fuel /air mixture and can result in too lean or too rich a mixture.
Your comment about it being especially jerky or erratic and noticeable in rainy, humid or cooler temperatures may back up my suggestion.
