SRS light and Service light come on?
So i just got my s40 like 3 weeks ago, it runs like a charm and i love it. i noticed the Service light comes on but turns off a few after the car runs for a while (so that may be normal according to the book) but when i got the car the dealer i bought it from had to replace a sensor because it kept telling the car it was over heating when it really wasn't. But the SRS light still wont go off, is that because it needs to be replaced or because there is another issue?

The SRS light comes on because it has encountered a problem and an error code was set. It could be the controller, an air bag, as sensor, wire, a connector or even corrupted software. I did have a controller go bad in my '02 S40. The light came on a few times in my V50. Once for a sensor wire that was damaged when my wife had a fender bender, once for corrupted software and once for a loose connector under the passenger front seat.
The seat connector is common to get knocked loose or damaged from things getting stuffed under the seat. Unfortunately, once an error is detected, the light will not reset on its own even if the problem is fixed. Volvo service must reset the code.
