Default Clutch Pedal question

HELP! I'm having a clutch issue with my 2003 S60. The pedal basically just flops, there's virtually no resistance. It feels like the pedal isn't connected to anything, but when I look under the dash it does move master cylinder rod. The fluid reservoir is full and I don't see any sign of leakage out of the tranny. Is it my clutch master cylinder? I'd think there would be some slight resistance if the slave cylinder blew out and shouldn't that also pump out the fluid? The clutch is always engaged. My thought was to loosen the bleeder and see if anything will pump out, if it's the master cylinder nothing should pump out, if it's the slave then something should pump out - or am I looking at it wrong?
