ES6T easy now, I don't think Pyro71 is racing.
if there is a bad reluctor ring or speed sensor, the car will see that the speed doesn't match the other wheels, and then it turns the traction control on to try and get the wheels going at the same speed again.

It will not stall the engine.

And I didn't mean him specifically. I meant if someone spins their wheels because they are trying to beat a car through a turn, the blame is on them.

The traction control cut power(not engine) to drive wheels completely for about 3 seconds. I'm sure you can understand the dangers of that happening in any situation but especially in the situation I described. Whether that situation is prudent or not is important here as I believe it is a common situation that the OP should be aware of. Thanks for clarifying that the engine did not stall but power was not available due to traction control/abs failure.
