i get a weird hissing noise coming from all the speakers while driving (volume all the way down)

usually happens after ~10 minutes of driving and car is in 2nd or 3rd gear and you press and release the brake. noise goes away after you press brake again and will come back when you release it again. it doesnt always do it but seem s to do it a lot. also ill hear a 'pop' from the speakers after you shut the car off take the key out and sit wait a few minutes, might be related.


sounds like some interference with the head unit, anyone ever notice this with their S60? i think replacing the head unit with an aftermarket system will fix the problem but cant afford to do that at this time.

 

I was just messing with my s60 02', an i had a portable spot light charging in the cig lighter, well i was listening to the radio an i heard a hissing comming from the rear speakers. Well i turned the car off an the radio still played(keys are in my hand) well i pulled the charger out of the cig socket an the radio shut off an the hising disappeared idk what happened, but if you have anything plugged into it(cell phone, gps, or any charging device remove it an see if that works for ya!

 

after a more thorough inspection it seems to be coming for the brake pedal area or just above it, definitely has something to do with the brakes but I dont notice anything wrong wtih them
