Default 2007 Volvo s60 Anti-skid service message Please Help

There is a message on my dashboard which reads
ANTI-SKID SERVICE REQUIRED light. This message shows up once in a while and then disappears, it comes back after a day or two for a few minutes and then disappears, it's more of an annoyance than anything, I was wondering if anyone had some input into? When i select next it would read DTSC is off. is it a software issue, I don't want to go into the dealer and be ripped off. I took it to the local shop but they were unsure as to what the message could mean, it could be something to do withh the BCM or as simple as a software update.
Is there a switch that can switched on or off? anyone familiar with this issue.

2007 s60 volvo 2.5t FWD w/ 61k miles.

I have a T5 equipped with DSTC, when my light came on the Steering Angel Sensor (SAS) had gone bad. This sensor provides the DSTC system with steering wheel angle (the exact position of the steering wheel) information. When the SAS goes bad the DSTC system cannot provide proper traction/anti-skid control. There is another unit in the steering column called the Control Module, I believe this is another component of the DSTC and mine was replaced at the same time as the SAS. The SAS is approx $120, the Control Module was $340. It is my belief that I did not have to have the Control Mod replaced and the dealer through parts at my car at my expense. So be careful. Good luck.

So a software upgrade would not do the trick. Could it be as simple replacing a sensor.
Wish there was a switch on an off button for the anti-skid.
thanks for your reply.
