I have a 2002 S60 and my after market alarm remote broke so I got a new one. The programming instructions say to push the the valet button 5 times during the process.

The problem is that the valet button doesn't seem to work. When I press it it doesn't light up, but the SCT and head rest buttons work on that panel. I can't find a single thing about it online. Can anyone help me figure out why the valet button won't light up? I can't identify a fuse. I hope it's something that simple.

Was it working with the first one? The system was only designed to work with tried that are programmed though VIDA not aftermarket remotes.

 

Yes. It worked fine with the first remote. The issue is not the communication with the remote. It is the fact that the valley button does nothing when pressed. It doesn't work at all.

 

hahaha, Have a similar problem with the same car. Mine is 2002 S60 T5 with aftermarket remote. Although I finally can open a trunk with my remote - pressing, I guess - 3 times, I cannot open a trunk from inside my car. ( bought the car without a remote) Is there any way to do it? Pressing a button on the panel - with an open trunk and a key- doesn't work.

Forget I even said anything about the remote. My problem is that the valet button does nothing when it's passed. The other 2 buttons in the panel (STC and the head rest release) work fine. I'm trying to figure out if there is a fuse I can't identify or if I need to bring it to a dealer and pay them $500 to examine it... Thanks
