Default '05 s60 rubbing noise on tight turns

I've noticed a rubbing noise when I make tight slow turns (say when turning around). I seems to be like the tire rubbing against plastic. Too cold out now or I would do further debugging. Any ideas?

Check if the limiter has been removed. Many people remove then to gain more radius when turning. For location, the limiter is attached to the cradle that bolts to the brake caliper.

Yeah, more then likely the steering stops are worn out. Or it will also rub if you've put wider tires on your car.

Mine has the same problem but only when turning (fully) left. When doing the same to the right hand side I have no problems. I guess my bet is the "worn out" reply of this topic?

Default 2006 s60 rubbing

Hi, I'm resurrecting this old thread.
Both front tires on my 2006 s60 rub on the wheelwells at full turn. The left tire rubs when turning full right, and the right tire rubs when turning full left, so it's the leading inside edge of the tire that rubs on the front inside of the wheelwells.
I've been reading about steering limiters, and will look at that first, but I remember seeing there is the possibility of something worse going on.

Fingers crossed it's a simple fix of swapping the steering stops from each side....
