HID Conversion Upgrade / Low Beam Bulb Failure Message
Hi i have a 2003 s60. i upgraded my headlights with a 6000k HID Conversion kit. it looks great but now i get an Error message saying "Bulb Failure Low Beam" on my dash. I understand that standard halogen bulbs are 55watts while HID bulbs are 35watts. Obviously the error message is due to the difference in wattage. I guess i could live with the error message since the benefits of having HID outweighs the nuisance of the error message. However, i was wondering if anybody knows a fix for this. and also, will having the HID kit result in some malfunction in my vehicle electrical system? or is it ok to just deal with it if it doesnt bother me?

which kit did you get?
I got the mtec 8000k s60/s80 kit - h7 - bulb, my kit came with Voltage balancers so there is no error message on them. That kit runs around 390$, but it has a 2 year warranty, and produces over 3000 hrs of light.
your're right they make a huge difference.
