I got a S60R

RE: I got a S60R
1. I would suggest doing a complete STAGE 0 (Stage Zero). If you don't know what that is become a member of Volvospeed.com and or click here. Stage Zero
2. Get a boost gauge. Egauges They sell them at good prices. As far a a pod goes I don't think anyone makes a gauge pod for the s60 range of models. So find another way to mount it.

After you have done the Stage 0 and the boost/vac gauge this is what i suggest.
1. Have a 3" downpipe and 2.5" free flowing catback with a Magnaflow muffler. All mandrel bent of course. Now if your going to upgrade your turbo to something bigger then you would want a 3" downpipe and a 3" catback system.
You could go with a prefabbed downpipe and or catback system but that is $$$$, and having a whole exhaust system custom made can be had for around $800-$1000. Instead of just spending $750+ for just a downpipe and then another $300+ for the Catback system.
On my 1999 s70 awd I was quoted about $600-$800 for a 3" downpipe to a 2.5" catback system.
2. Intake, EST makes one but it is mainly an HAI (Hot Air Intake) EST's Intake
Ipd also has a filter for the R's as does EST.
EST filter
IPD's Filter
The stock airbox is the best setup IMO and a lot of other people will say the same thing.
3. ECU upgrade. IPD, RICA, BSR (These are the companies I would go with). You can also look into Upsolute, SpeedTuning USA. These will raise your boost and this is why you should have a boost/vac gauge. Also you should do this after you have installed the Intake and Exhaust system.
BTW: You should dyno your car stock and get A/F ratios. Then when you upgrade the ECU lets say with RICA send them those stock dyno figures and A/F ratios. Also dyno with the downpipe and catback system and Intake. And send them to them as well. So they can see the difference between stock and partially modded. This will help them tune your ECU better.
