Default New brake pads and parking brake

Hey all. So I need to replace the brake pads and the parking brake either needs adjusting (possible? or auto adj?). Luckily my brother manages a shop so he said just bring the pads and he'll do the rest. My 2 questions are...

1. Should I just get the pads from the parts dept at the dealer?

2. Parking brake either needs adj or the pads on it are worn. Just buy those too or try to adjust? I've read that it's auto adj and the pads are worn.

2006 S60 2.5T FWD

Thanks in advance.

Volvo pads stop you great, but the dust is horrible. I put Akebono Euro Ceramic pads on my S60. Love em.

Try adjusting first. Usually the EB doesn't wear out.

Thanks for the reply! I bought the Genuine Volvo pads from the dealer. $65 per axle. Mostly out of conveinience and the price was cmparable to the upper end brak pads at the retail stores. I have spray on good wheel cleaner for the dust too. Meguiars All Wheel Cleaner. 15 seconds and done. Still need to polish once a year but meh. Good enough.
