Radio in 2001 S60 is draining battery, need wiring diagram
I don't kow why my 2001 S60's radio started draining the battery but it is. I don't want to install a new system as I like the looks of the factory system.
Currently the radio is unplugged. I would like to cut the power wire, install a toggle switch that will break the power connection so it can't be drained when the car is not running. If I understand correctly, when the switch is on the off position, it should act sort of like a circuit breaker being turned off. When the switch is turned on, the radio should be fully functional. Is this correct?
I am assuming that there may be a constant power connection that is used to keep the radio memory, presets etc. Should I worry about this and install a second switch or can it be put on the same switch as the main power?
Any ideas here are greatly appreciated! Also, how do I pull th radio out? Is there a special tool?

It might but it might also mess with the rest of the computers in the car.
The entire car is in a network. You car has like 15 computers all linked together.
Are you 100% sure it is the radio?
When you check for a parasitic draw you need to leave it like that for atleast 15 to 20 minutes for the car to go to sleep.
