Default S60 vent box breather system

We took in our 2007 S60 for a clunking noise in the front right, which turns out could use an engine upper torque mount and both front strut spring seats. But the service manager said the more immediate issue is that we need a vent box breather system service ($800). He wasn't clear how immediate it was, and I just wanted to know if in the short term there would be no serious issue just driving it locally a hundred miles a week for a month. There were no symptoms, no leaking oil, no oil use between services, no smoke, no engine light.
Any thoughts?

It just means that the pcv system is clogged. If you go too long you can start using oil, check engine light will come on, and the engine will start to run rough at idle.

Thanks, that helps. It is less expensive to do at a third party Volvo dealer, and we may wait a few weeks and then in January trade in two cars for one new(er) one anyway.
