Default S60T Whistle

Car will develop a hi pitch whistle while driving and then stop after I turn the fan on hi in a few minutes. What gets me is that even when I turn the car off it still whistles for 10 minutes. Comes from the front of engine passenger side I think. Anyone have this same thing?
Thanks for all the responses...

It is a 2003 and the whistle started around 92,000 miles.

10 minutes is a bit long, but it sounds like the radiator fan. Either the shroud is warped or some other issue that is causing the plastic fan blades to rub on the shroud.

It still whistles even after the car is turned off. Nothing turning as far as I could tell.

It does it even when the AC is off. Unbelievable.
