Clutch sticking down!!!
Clutch sticking down!!!Hi All
I have 2014 V60 D3, very randomly and intermittent my clutch sticks down and won't come back up, i have to put my foot behind it and pull it back!!! Like i say this only happens every now and again. I have been told it could be the slave cylinder, if so is this a big job and anyone a rough guess on cost at a garage.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Slave cylinder assumes you have a hydraulic clutch vs a cable. If that's true, start by checking the fluid level - then inspect for leaks. After that you can try bleeding the clutch (same process as brakes). Also does the pedal seem to move freely or is binding (say on a mat or perhaps needing some lube)? Worst case scenario is its related to the clutch itself and not the slave/hydraulics = too early to estimate a cost but there are vids on Youtube with how to's on replacing the slave (it fits into the transmission housing so the car needs to be on a lift to access).
