Shopping for an 05 to 10 S60
Hi all,
My wife bought a 2010 S40 around 8 months ago. I've been really impressed with the car and now I want to buy myself an S60. I'd like to spend under 20k for an 06 or newer model.
What sorts of things should I be looking for? A local dealer has an 06 T5 with 65,000 miles on it, which I'm very interested in. Would you guys advise a newbie to purchase a T5 versus a 2.5T? How do they compare in terms of handling, reliability and the fun factor?
What specific things should I be considering as I evaluate my options? Basically, I'm looking for some guidance from the real experts, as Volvos are totally new to me. But I'm totally intrigued.
Many thanks for any advice.

I would recommend the T5 if you are looking for a sportier ride. It has more HP, torque, the suspension is a bit firmer, the wheels are a bit wider and has more options standard. The 2.5T is a great car too!
Being an '06, I think that most transmissions problems have been worked out, but that is where I would focus. Make sure is shifts fine and if you purchase it, have the transmission flushed at the dealer or a independent Volvo shop.
These cars will treat you good, but you must make sure that you keep up with routine service. When something does fail, the repairs/parts are a bit pricier than average.
