Default Trouble with my temperature controls - 2003 V70 - Is this a CCM software issue?

Hi everyone, I'm new here and looking forward to contributing!

I know that temperature control issues have been addressed before on the forum (I know it's pretty common), but I haven't found anything like what I'm experiencing. Is this a CCM software issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here's what's going on:
  • When increasing the speed of the blower motor, the dial "resets" itself back to the off position
  • During the infrequent times the blower speed increases, the heat is never warm
  • You can hear a "clicking" sound when adjusting the blower speed, like the system is turning on, then quickly turns off
  • When the blower is operating, it doesn't seem to send air to the appropriate vents

I've attached a link to a YouTube video that shows what I am experiencing. You can hear the system "clicking sound in the background.

Thanks again! Your insight would be fantastic.

Trevor

I've seen that when ECC module was installed to the car with AC configuration.
ECC automatic climate control
AC manual climate

Thanks for the insight, doublebug!

I want to make sure I understand your response; are you stating that the ECC module is bad - or do I need to reboot / reinstall?

Again, thank for the help!

Actually my idea was in configuration mismatch.
Last time I solved this issue was reboot the car via VIDA.
The guy wanted to replace manual clima to automatic one and just replaced the unit.
After some time it becomes locked as yours (hi tried several units and they all became locked after some time).
So I activated automatic climat control in his car but unit was locked until I did reboot.
