Default 1999 S70 - ETS, Check Engine Light

The warning came on a few times without really having a problem. Today it started to hesitate, especially at highway speeds.

Is this something I can try to fix...as someone who is both new to this (and new to living on limited resources).

Thanks for the help.

Go to AutoZone and have them do an OBD-II reading (they'll do it for free) and they will give you a list of what you can do to fix it. It may be as simple as buying a new gas cap or you might have to do something extensive.

ETS = Electronic Throttle System meaning your ETM = Electronic Throttle Module might be in trouble of dying. Volvo has a warranty on these now and it should be fixed under said warranty. If it is indeed defective. If it is and they wont pay for it under the warranty get ready to shell out $900-$1200 for the ETM.
