New S70 owner, quick questions
I just bought a 98 S70 GLT from a family friend, it has 105K and I have all service records from previous owner. Timing belt was changed by a Volvo dealer at 70K.
So here are my questions:
The car makes a sound like a typewriter coming from the center console, it only makes it sometimes and it seems to be in various conditions (as long as the engine is running). Has anybody had this problem / does anybody know what it could be?
I was told by the previous owner that the door lock motors break easily if someone pulls the handle when the unlock button is pressed, is this true, and if so, are they worth fixing?
I have never owned a Volvo before, What should I look for or watch for on this car? Are there any known items that tend to fail?
Thanks!

This forum is full of things you should watch out for. The PCV system is an often neglected item. Also, it's alway worth fixing anything that breaks on your car.
I think I have heard that clicking noise in my daughters S70. I think it has something to do with the climate control system. It may be something that brakes eventually.
