Default HELP! 2000 S70 non-working tail-lights. (Revised)

EDIT!!! I have now fixed 1 issue! See my reply below!
----------------
Hi there, I have a 2000 S70 with 140k on it. Been running pretty well for a couple of years now, aside from nagging ETS light/issue.

Last week, I noticed that the tail-lights were not working (running tail-lights?) Brake lights, turn signal, emergency flashers all worked fine in the rear. Peculiar thing also that the Elec-Lighting light was not lit on the dashboard.

So first, I went and changed the back tail-light bulbs. Nothing.

Then, I went into fuse box and replaced fuses 23 & 24 with new 10A fuses. This then caused the headlights to then not turn on. I swapped the new and old fuses around a bit in those same 23 & 24 slots only to have the car then not start!

The car fires up cleanly, but then immediately dies. Pushing on pedal does not help keep it started or revved.

Any idea on what's going on?! The car was running beautifully until I messed with the fuses. Everything has been replaced and in correct fuse slots. Also, any idea on the tail-lights? I am lost!

Alright, I seem to have fixed my issue with the car not starting after playing around w new tail-light bulbs and fuses. I bought a fuse tester (how have I not had one of these before?!) and found 3 dead fuses including the immobilizer and the backup/turn signal lamps.

NOW, I am back to square one and that is my running tail-lights do not work.

The fuse is good, I changed the bulb, the turn signals and brake lights work. But the running tail-lights show no signs of life.

Any ideas on where to go from here?

Have you replaced the head light switch?
