Hello all!

In January of this year, I purchased my very first Volvo, a 2000 S70 SE, and have been extremely happy with my purchase so far. However, not all is well with the car, and the 5 speed automatic has been giving me more problems than what it is worth to fix. Tried changing fluid, reprogramming, tried to do transmission cooler work, nothing has helped the problem. Instead of dropping tons of money into the car to fix the transmission, my dad and I have decided that it would be more beneficial (and more fun) to swap the transmission to a manual transmission. We have a 5 speed manual transmission available from a '99 S70, and the funds to do a swap, I just wanted to post on here and ask if there's any advice anyone can give, and if there's anything special we need to know before we tackle the swap. What kinds of electrical issues could I run in to? Any parts that might not convert over? Thanks for your time!
