Default My Modifications and Reviews

This is to help those with s70's and other 70 models to see some mods first hand and to hear some reviews. Any questions please feel free to PM me anytime.

Car: 1999 s70 awd

Modifications

1. EST strut brace, painted black ( http://www.eurosporttuning.com )
Great strut brace, works as intended. Install was simple and easy.

2. EST eyebrows ( http://www.eurosporttuning.com )
Nice compliment to your 70 series Volvo. Install was easy with some 3m doublesided adhesieve tape

3. EST black mesh grille ( http://www.eurosporttuning.com )
Again a very easy install. Looks great too.
See image in number two

4. E-code headlamps and Turn signals ( http://www.fcpgroton.com )
Good deal for these and install was great.
See image in number two

5. 15% rear 35% front tint
Done professionally for under $200

6. SpeedTuning USA ecu upgrade
Great ECU for the price! Simple un-install and re-install of ECU. Mine was sent out to Oliver at ST USA and sent back in 1-2 days time.
Sorry no pics

7. Polished Upper IC pipe
Easy to do and looks great under the hood. Look for my writeup on this in the Moderators WriteUp Thread.

8. Turbo XS Type H-RFL (Bought from a local Volvo guy)
Had this put on professionally, I am not an Aluminum welder.
See second image in number seven

9. Stylin Motors Turbo Hoses ( http://www.stylinmotors.com )
Very easy install, take your time. Better then stock and looks nice too.

10. T-bolt clamps ( http://www.stylinmotors.com )
Simple to install and are better then Hose clamps. As these don't dig into the turbo hoses

11. Stylin Motors Vaccum lines ( http://www.stylinmotors.com )
Easy install, take your time.
Sorry no pictures

12. Autometer Phantom Series gauges (Boost/Vac, Volt and Oil Pressure) ( http://www.egauges.com )
I did have the professionally installed.

13. LOTEK triple gauge pod ( http://www.gaugepods.com )
Also had this professionally installed
Sorry no day time pictures

14. Aluminum Lock ***** ( Aluminum Lock **** Sale Thread )
Pretty easy install. Mine were tight so harder to put on. Look great though.
No pictures

15. BlitzSafe Ipod Adapter
Great, works wonderful. Such an easy install.
No pictures

16. ABM Chrome Crystal Projectors

They looks great and the beam pattern is def. different and will take some time getting used to. I really like them. Build quality is pretty good too.

17. IPD Steering Wheel Glove
This is a great improvement over anything else I have seen. Also if your steering wheel is wearing this is a great upgrade. It comes with a needle and the twine and the wheel wrap. You put the wrap on the wheel and start to lace it up. It takes about an hour, but in the end is well worth it. I love it. So much better then seeing the deteiorated wheel.

18. ABM Chrome Turn Signals

Turn signals are great a little difficult to install, but well worth it to match the projector headlights.

19. Apexcone 35w H7 5000K HIDs

WOW!!! That is really an understatement. If you want HIDs get them now. They are great. The light output at night is 100 times better then any Halogen bulb. The install was so simple and easy. Takes about 15-30 minutes per side. So easy.

20. EST Intake: Build quality is great. Apperance is great as well. Wow the intake sounds even more agressive then when I just slapped a K&N cone filter on the end of my MAF without a heatshield. I know there is no difference other then the EAT heatshield, but man does it sound mean. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKi-kQcFFRc

My Company Reviews

1. Stylin Motors Inc.
Wow is all I can say. SIG provides the best customer service I have ever recieved from any Volvo aftermarket company. A+++

2. EST (EuroSportTuning)
Great products, but when I delt with them for the EST strut brace the customer service was not acceptable. Now I am not ragging on their products. They provide high quality products. Don't get me wrong. I just had a bad customer service experience. Others have had good ones.

3. FCP Groton
Great customer service. I will deal with thease guys again if I need to. A++

4. GaugePods.com (LOTEK)
Great product and fast shipping. Good people to deal with

5. Egauges
Good customer service. Great deals on gauges.

6. IPD USA
I delt with these guys for my first car, which was a 1995 Volvo 850 NA. I bought an IPD grille, and IPD sways from them. Very helpful and I got the sways when they had a sale on them, best wait for when they have a sale on the sways. Both items were top notch, loved the sways so much, best suspension mod you can do to your Volvo. Customer service was great. I am probably going to buy some headlight protectors from them for my new Chrome Projectors.

I bought my Steering wheel wrap from IPD and it is great. A good mod to spruce up your interior.

7. SpeedTuning USA
Fast service for sending out an ECU and getting back in about 1-2 days time. Oliver gives good instructions on how to uninstall and reinstall your ECU. He was a little less negotioable when he screwed up my shipping address and made me pay for another label. I don't know if I ever recieved the refund on my CC for it or not. However all in all and decent guy to deal with.

8. STAR Volvo, in Greensburg PA
Great dealership. Had my ETM replaced by them. Great customer service and nice people to deal with in general.

9. Parts For Volvos Online.
I haven't bought anything from these guys yet. However I have been e-mailing them about products and they get back to me in a timely manner.

10. SharpHID ( http://www.sharphid.com/ )
John is a great guy to deal with. Will answer all questions you have. Fast shipping and great products. A++++

Never installed the IPD sway bars. I actually sold them.

I also finally sold the polished pipe and BOV I had.

The only new thing would be buying some Yokohama AVID HS4 tires which are replacing my P4 4 Seasons.

My Tire Review

At first glance these tires look beefier in the tread then the P4 4 Seasons. Which is a good thing for the Winter time.

Also at first glance I liked the looks of them better then the P4 4 Seasons.

City driving is great. A lot less road noise and the car glides along so smoothly. Breaking is easier too. There is tons of grip with these new tires. I love them.

I will give a highway review after work tonight. Haven't been on the highway yet.

------------------------------------------

WOW that is really all I could say. These tires are awesome.

1. The road noise is significantly less then the P4 4 Seasons.

2. The ride quality is smooth.

3. The vibration in my steering wheel at 70 MPH+ is basically gone.

These tires get an A+ from me.
