one low beam won't work after replacing the bulb
One of the low beams on my 2004 v70 went bad.( they seem to need a bulb a year) while replacing the bulb the plastic socket crumbled like to one on the other side. I replaced the bulb and it still won't work! I hooked up the wires just like to one that is working but still no dice. The fuses are fine! Any ideas of what to check next? I guess it is possible that I got a bad bult at the store?

I have noticed on my wife's S70 the headlights wires are missing a lot of insulation. Over the years I assume the heat of the bulbs is melting the insulation. You may wish to see if this is the case on your car. I am sure I will need to buy the headlight pigtail the next time I change them. Anybody else bought one of these pigtails and where?

Because the socket is broken I want to be sure the grnd wire goes on the correct spade on the bulb. I wonder if it was put on backwards if that would have burnt the bulb out? Today I'm going to switch bulbs and connect the good bulb to the side that is not working. I hope that bulb works then I just by another bulb and make sure I hook it up correctly!
