Default Heater not working properly

Hi - looking for a bit of advice please.
Recently bought an R reg S70 and the heater doesn't work very well. If you have the settings turned to maximum heat, fan on and the engine is warm, you get a little bit of heat, but nothing like you'd expect.
Will be ok in the Summer, but have certainly needed the heated seats during the cold weather we've had recently!
Any ideas what it could be please?

Default Heater not working

I would be very careful, my passenger side heat stopped working a few weeks back and today while doing 70 mph on the freeway. There was a best described as a steam explosion under the dash (which I learned was the heater core O-rings failing), and even with 2 pairs of pants on and shoes, my feet and knees were burned from the hot coolant spraying everywhere, unfourtnly I am also in the middle of an amp install, so I did not have the dash panels installed which would have saved my knees at least....

Default Heater

Thanks for the advice.....must have come as a bit of a shock at 70mph!!!!!

All the fans and ducts work ok....it's just that the amount of heat you get seems to depend on how hot the engine is.
