Default Sound coming from right front wheel

Last week I noticed a squeaking sound coming from my right front tire. It only happens once I hit above 20 miles an hour and when I get under 20 when I'm breaking it just cuts out. Anyone have any idea on what's going on? One friend is telling me it's the wheel bearing, another is saying it's the ball joint.

Well, I've never personally heard a wheel bearing squeak. It's more of a grinding / harshness noise that gets more pronounced with speed. Ball joints, idk if they squeak. I've heard a lot of old Fords like Explorers squeak like crazy but never knew what it was.

I think you may find the brakes need to be looked at. I've had sand/salt get into new pads and squeak, but the "step on the brake and it goes away" is a tell.

I had some noise on a front wheel a while back and it was the rotor. I had to clean it and smooth it out a little.

Depending on how harsh your winter was it could very well be road salt or some debris like kwatt said.
