Switch won't open fuel filler door
The fuel door switch will not open the filler door. I can open it manually from inside the trunk. Pulling the switch causes a clicking noise from somewhere inside the dash area apparently near to the instrument cluster. A pull of the switch causes an instant click, followed about a second later by a second click, as though a relay closes for only one second and then opens. All of the wiring appears intact and both the plug at the switch and the plug at the solenoid in the trunk are fully and properly inserted. The trunk release switch, which is part of the same assembly as the fuel door switch, does release the trunk latch as it should. But pulling the fuel door switch does not open the fuel door.

If the wiring is good and you are hearing the click in the dash, it sounds as if the switch and relay are ok. Pull the plug off the solenoid at the fule door and using a volt meter, check for voltage and ground while someone activates the switch. I'm betting either a bad solenoid, or bad wiring between the plug and ground or plug and dash realy. Keep us posted.
