B-pillar/seat belt help
Hi everyone. My wife's 2002 S80 diriver's side seat belt no longer retracts completely. I would like to look behind the B-pillar panel to check things out and get an idea of any repairs or new parts I need to start searching for.
So, first I would like to get behind the B-pillar and I need some assistance/guidance in getting the panel off. It is on very tight with rubber seals on both the front and rear of the pillar. Also, do I have to remove the upper panel, lower panel, or both?
Here are additional pictures (hopfully worth a 1000 words):
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have a 2000 S80 having the exact same problem. I managed to remove the weather stripping simply by pulling it. I was nervous at first but it comes off and can be put back on very easily. Just pull on it a little bit and it will come off without ripping. All weather stripping attached to the B pillar must be removed.
Under the weather stripping there are 2 small metal clips (one on front side, one on rear side) at the top of the B pillar panel that seem to attach it to the metal B pillar column of the chasis. I have unclipped these but im still not sure how to completely remove the B pillar. Perhaps it has to be detached from the lower panel? I am not sure, I have not completely figured it out yet myself and have had no luck searching on the internet.
My next attempt will be pulling up on the B pillar and possibly removing some of the flooring panels.

the b-pillar panel snaps on, its a tight fit, pull the weather strip out of the way and use a pry tool for popping it off, take your time and try to pry at the areas. where the panel is clipped, I think the scuff plates and lower seperate panel at piller have to come off as well, hope this helps.
