Default Bank 1 Sensor 1 question

I have a 2002 s80 2.9 non turbo and it has the p0030 code (bank 1 sensor1).
I was just wondering if any of you know if there is a difference between sensor 1 on bank1 and bank 2? Since I can the sensor for bank 2(Driver side) everywhere for a $105 but Bank 1(passenger side) is impossible to find unless you order it online or have a local parts store order it online and its roughly $280 to $300 bucks! the Bosch number for the sensor is 17163. can i just get the driver side sensor and extend the wire length?

Bank 1 refers to Cylinder 1, 2, 3 - passenger side. Bank 2 refers to cylinders 4, 5, 6 - drivers side. Sensor 1 is before the catalytic converter and Sensor 2 is after. The 2 "before" sensors should be identical, except for the wire length. Although I have not done this, I have read of others successfully splicing the original longer wires to a new sensor.
