Default Codes P1171 and P1181 / oil leak

Want to start by saying thanks to this forum, I've fixed a couple of things wrong with my car.

I just got the P1171 and P1181 codes after driving the car for a month after purchasing it used... (no comments!)
It's a 1999 S80 T6 with 87k miles on it. Any info as to what this is, I read the othe treads on the forum but was wondering since I got two codes it would narrow it down.

Also have an oil leak that seams like its coming from the rectangular box right behind the oil pan, I have no idea what this is (maybe the oil pump?) but I'm planning on taking it outto see if I can fix the leak... Any ideas on this would help too.

Since I don't have vadis, I'm hoping to get the info from this forum! Thanks in advance!

Some good news at last. I had a problem with the front drivers door actuator sounding like a grinder everytime I locked and unlocked the door. Dealer wanted $150 for a new actuator but I used safety wire to fix it, if anyone needs this fixed without spending money drop me a reply and I'll walk you through it, It's a pretty easy fix.

Default RE: Codes P1171 and P1181 / oil leak

Friend of mine sent me the entire ODBII code list for the S80 printed out from VAIDS. The P1171 and P1181 convert as follows:

P1171 ECM-261A Long-term fuel trim, Upper limit
P1181 ECM-271A Long-term fuel trim, bank 2 Upper limit

Since I see bank 2, I'm thinking an O2 sensor! right?

If anyone needs other code conversions, I'll be happy to help...

Is this the link you're talking about?

any ideas on the rectangular box behind the oil pan... I see oil lines going into it from the turbos...

I've been having the same codes. My car has 170,000kms on it so i suppose it could be due for some new sensors. They probably have also never been cleaned so i'll give that a go first. I've been having trouble finding an appropriate cleaner though.

How much can i expect to pay for a new MAF sensor and/or new o2 sensors?

the box you speak of behind the oil pan is to help minimize torque steer on the turbo cars, leave it alone. dont touch it. check jsust the fluid lever, it has a vent hole on top, so it will spit some fluid out.

i wouldnt be so quick on the 02sensor there, theres a vaccum tee at the back of the engine on the driver side, at port the inspector touched the t with a hot tip pen to mark it to show it had been inspected, unfortunatly it created a weak spot, it will blow that hole out in the vaccum t, its VERY small, but it a vaccum leak. id check that before cleaning, and ruining a perf good maf sensor

I had this issue for over a year replacing all kinds of parts, from vaccum hoses, intake gasket, turbo piping , turbo sensor, to fixing oil leaks, mas air flow sensors. None of that fixed the issue. I just finished replacing all the injectors with rebuilt ones off eBay ($100)
And purchased a fuel damper( absorber) from euro parts and cleared the codes. Have not had any codes comeback at 60 miles of driving so far. Codes use to come on after 12 miles before. I believe this fixed the issue. Maybe O-rings, or injectors and damper( absorber) were bad. They didn't look good when I took them out. Car has better fuel economy now and no codes. This took a lot of money for me to find out, because no one seems to have found a fix online. I figured I would share my experience.
